Victoria Day Celebrations in Oxford County
The first long weekend of Summer ’16 is upon us, and so far it’s looking good! Aside from the slight chance of rain on Saturday and Sunday, Mother Nature is giving us nice, warm weather so we can get outside and kick summer off with a blast!
If you’re planning to stay close to home this Victoria Day weekend, there’s lots to do in Woodstock and around Oxford County including two promising Festivals, a Parade and even Fireworks!
So for those of you looking for some homegrown fun this Victoria Day long weekend we’ve compiled a guide to help you pack in as much fun as you can handle!

VICTORIA DAY CELEBRATIONS IN WOODSTOCK
THE “MIDWAY” @ SOUTHSIDE PARK

What to expect:
If you’ve never attended a Victoria Day celebration by visiting the Midway at Southside Park in Woodstock then you don’t know what you’re missing!
After a long winter, Woodstock residents come out with their party hats on to celebrate the Queen in style while eating cotton candy, riding on Ferris Wheels and enjoying some great live, local entertainment all weekend long!
Come Monday, don’t miss the annual Victoria Day Parade, departing the Woodstock Fairgrounds at 10am sharp before heading west on Dundas St., south down Wellington St., west on Henry St. to Finkle St. before entering Southside Park just past Cedar Creek.
Following the Parade there will be Scavenger Hunt for the first 100 kids to arrive at the park. It’s sure to be a blast!

“CALI” DAYS FESTIVAL

Thamesford’s annual “Cali Day’s” are coming up May 20th to 23rd. Over the Victoria Day Long weekend you can enjoy various events like: Community Yard Sales, Bocce and Beach Volleyball Tournaments, Car Was, Trout Brunch, Midway Rides, Parade and lots more. Please note the various events take place through out the village. Please come and join in the fun.
